How Can I Participate in the Black/Land Project?

SUPPORT OUR WORK WITH A DONATION

The Black/Land Project is lean with low overhead: no fancy office, just a team of hardworking people with a website, AV equipment, and a phone number. A gift of just $10 keeps this website up for a month. A $50 donation covers shipping and handling to get all of our equipment to a location. Your generous gift of $100 is enough to transcribe an interview. It’s fast and easy to make a donation online: just click here.

SPONSOR A BLACK/LAND CONVERSATION

The Black/Land Project returns what we’ve learned to the communities that have shared their stories with us, and helps them to explore next steps. That next step might be a conversation about community gardens, or planning an urban enterprise zone.  In Black/Land Conversations, we offer informative and skillfully facilitated conversations about how Black relationships to land affect you, in your local Black community. If your church, service organization, neighborhood center, or community organization would like to host a Black/Land Conversation in your town, contact us.

INVITE A SPEAKER

The Black/Land Project offers professional presentations and workshops suitable for colleges and universities, conference plenaries, and large community or cultural gatherings. These informative and interactive sessions share what we are learning through analyzing the stories collected by the Black/Land Project, and invite people of all backgrounds to find their unique place in those stories. To schedule a speaker, contact us here.
